HOUSEBOAT POLICIES

CONFIRMING DEPOSIT          A confirming deposit of $500 for 10 Sleeper DeLuxe, 12 Sleeper DeLuxe and 16 Sleeper DeLuxe or $400 for 10 Sleeper is due within 10 days of making your reservation or your reservation will be cancelled.

RENTAL PAYMENT          The full rental amount must be paid 45 days prior to your boarding date.  (Deposit may not be applied to rent.)

SECURITY DEPOSIT    Your confirming deposit will be applied as a security deposit when you check in on your departure date.  This will be refunded at the conclusion of your trip, less any charges for extensive cleaning, damages or loss of inventory. Charges will be made for damaged boats, propellers, and other lost or damaged items.

FORM OF PAYMENT        Payment for deposits, rental, gas and supplies may be made by personal check, VISA, or MasterCard.  Chevron cards are also accepted for purchases of gas, oil and supplies.  Refunds will be given by Bidwell Marina check or credit to your credit card within 5 business days of completion of your trip.  No cash refunds will be made.  Deposit checks and credit card payments are processed when received.

CONTRACT  & CONFIRMATION    A contract confirming the terms of your reservation will be mailed to you within 3 days of making your reservation.  This must be signed and returned immediately, or your  reservation will be subject to calncellation. If your confirming deposit and contract are not received within 10 days of your reservation, your reservation will be subject to cancellation.  If you do not receive confirmation, please contact reservations immediately. 

CANCELLATION    There is a $75 service charge for each houseboat cancellation or change.  Any remaining deposit will be refunded or transferred only if notice is received in our office 45 days prior to reserved date of departure.  All payments will be forfeited if cancellation or changes are made to a reservation less than 45 days prior to boarding .  During Winter and Spring Value Seasons, changes in dates may be made with  10 days advance notice prior to your departure date.  During Winter and Spring, If you cancel your trip for any reason, your prepaid rent can be transferred to other available dates. No refunds will be issued.

GAS        Your gas tanks will be full at time of departure, and will be filled at your expense upon returning to the dock.  All gas used is the responsibility of renter.

CHECK-IN & BOARDING        Boarding times will be assigned, and you will be notified.  Houseboats may not be boarded until all paperwork has been completed and instructions about operation of boat has been completed.

CHECK-OUT        Your houseboat must be unloaded, cleaned and returned to the gas dock at the assigned time on the day your reservation terminates.  A late charge may be charged on late returns.
NO REBATES WILL BE MADE FOR LATE ARRIVAL OR EARLY RETURN. WE ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR LOSS OF RUNNING TIME DUE TO EQUIPMENT FAILURE, WEATHER, ILLNESS, ACCIDENTS OR CHANGES IN PLANS.
